I rarely leave reviews, but I really wanted to this time because this place and Dr. Daigle have been amazing. I recently moved to Dallas for my first full-time job, and I was referred here by my general dentist for a root canal on a necrotic tooth. I am an EXTREMELY anxious person and have had significant dental anxiety for most of my life, so hearing that I needed a root canal initially made me panic (also because I had never so much as gotten a filling done).
During my consultation, Dr. Daigle answered all of my questions comprehensively and made sure I understood exactly what would happen. The entire team here was extremely patient and understanding, and no one judged me for my anxiety and other medical conditions that exacerbated my anxiety. I felt comfortable disclosing these conditions, which surprised me as I have had many previous experiences of dismissal in medical settings.
Nitrous oxide is available if you get nervous like me, and I was offered squish toys for pain management. I ended up feeling no pain at all during the root canal. Additionally, I appreciated that Dr. Daigle outlined the major steps of the procedure before beginning each one and regularly checked in with me to make sure I was doing okay.
The team was also transparent about costs prior to the root canal and even helped explain dental insurance to me (it is my first time living completely independently, so I was confused). I thought that was very kind. Overall, that root canal was honestly one of the most positive interactions I have had with the healthcare system (to the point where my dental anxiety significantly decreased afterwards). If you ever find yourself needing a root canal in Dallas, this is 100% where I would go.
